Escha is expanding its product portfolio to include M12 push-pull flanges for industrial applications. These enable tool-free installation with a robust locking mechanism in automation and intralogistics.

The new portfolio includes M12 push-pull flanges with internal and external locking mechanisms in both male and female versions. At launch, the products are available in the A, D, and X series, covering applications for signal, fieldbus, and Ethernet communication. The flanges are available for both front-panel and rear-panel mounting and support various connection options, including PCB contacts, stranded wire connections, and molded-in cables. Additionally, variants are available that can be used as ports in passive distribution boxes.

The push-pull technology enables a quick and intuitive connection without screwing. The connector is simply inserted and locks automatically, thereby reducing assembly times and simplifying service processes.

At the same time, the locking mechanism ensures a secure connection even in environments subject to vibration and shock, such as those found in machines, conveyor systems, or mobile applications. The various coding schemes address different industrial applications. A-coded variants are suitable for classic sensor/actuator applications as well as signal and power cables. D-coded connectors are typically used for Industrial Ethernet applications such as Fast Ethernet. For data-intensive applications, X-coding is available, which is designed for Industrial Ethernet with data rates up to 10 Gbit/s.

Depending on the version, the flanges can be combined with different cable types, including Cat5e-, Cat6-, or Cat7-based Ethernet cables as well as industrial fieldbus cables. This enables flexible integration into various device and system concepts.

The new M12 push-pull flanges are aligned with the relevant international connector standards. The basis for this is DIN EN IEC 61076-2-010, which defines the interface as well as the push-pull locking mechanism for M12 push-pull circular connectors. At the same time, the flanges are designed to integrate seamlessly into existing M12 installations – including proven coding schemes and compatibility with established counterparts in industrial environments.

Designed for demanding operating conditions in automation, intralogistics, and transportation applications, the flanges support protection ratings up to IP68. Product qualification is consistently based on DIN EN IEC 61076-2-010 and ensures that the interface, locking function, and performance of the connectors meet the requirements of modern industrial applications. This makes the M12 push-pull flanges suitable for robust field installations – including project-specific requirements in particularly demanding environments such as railway technology.

The modular structure of the portfolio allows for various combinations of locking systems, coding, mounting types, and connection variants. Escha thus addresses both classic device flanges and interface solutions for decentralized installation concepts, for example in passive distribution boxes.
Additional variants will be gradually added as part of the holistic portfolio concept.
